EggCity, an innovative startup in the web3 domain, presents a unique platform designed to aid in the informed selection of DAOs (Decentralised Autonomous Organisations). Our solution included developing a custom web application with a tailored questionnaire system. Challanges and problems

EggCity's founders, Nick and Orest, harboured ambitions to establish an ecosystem for DAOs. Orest, utilising his legal expertise from 1Inch, recognised a significant gap between DAOs' declarations and their actual worth. Nick, a London FinTech consultancy partner, understood the critical importance of transparency in web3 and foresaw increased regulations from the FCA. The pivotal challenges were: 1) Launching a compelling MVP to draw the interest of potential clients. 2) Creating a custom, unbiased questionnaire for accurate DAO scoring. 3) Generating customised reports and recommendations based on user answers.

Our solution

Our team embarked on a holistic approach, commencing with UX/UI visualisation using no-code tool “Readmag” for rapid prototyping. Subsequent custom web development utilised React.js and Node.js, ensuring adaptability and flexibility. Notable accomplishments include crafting a world-class brand and digital identity for EggCity, developing a bespoke questionnaire with innovative features like shuffled questions, scoring based on answers, and generation of automated PDF reports, implementing a user management system for admins.

  1. Branding and Visual Identity: A complete overhaul of the initial design concept into a unique identity for EggCity, capturing its innovative essence in the web3 sector.
  2. Custom Questionnaire: A specifically tailored web app delivering a distinctive experience for each visitor, with shuffled questions and individualised scoring. Using React.js and Node.js we created a custom questionnaire with the following features:
  • Shuffled questions and answers for every app visit;
  • Scoring based on answers;
  • Generation of a custom PDF report with recommendations;
  • User management for admins;
  1. Automated Report Generation: Users receive a customised PDF report via email post-questionnaire, containing recommendations tailored to their responses.

Branding and visual identity

The evolution from the initial design to a distinct identity. A first concept that client represented us was a simple picture of a city skyline, which lacked engagement and concept identity of the project. 

Our goal was to create a new design concept that would break through a very competitive web3 market, where every project fights for user attention in a fast changing environment.

Result 

Our team reimagined the concept and proposed a new vision of EggCity, which kept an idea of a city, but represented in much more dynamic way. 

Logo

For a logo we used a metaphor of a city topological map. This is not obvious from the first touch with the brand, but it has a distinctive nature and memorable experience for the user.

Brand identity

One of the goals was to give a WOW effect for the visitor, get their attention and make them interested. This is happaning right when the user enters website, being surrounded by neon skyscrapers.

X-ray is another idea that we introduced. It gives a feeling of a real scanner that checks DAO.

We used a principle of using a parimeter in EggCity designs, which always is unique on every picture.

Questionnaire and the web app

A unique web app with branded design surpasses the limitations of no-code tools like PaperForm, providing a comprehensive questionnaire experience.

The questions and answered are automatically shuffled, which creates a non-biased experience and getting a fair amount of points.

Report Generation

Following the questionnaire, users receive a customised PDF report, offering insights and recommendations based on their individual responses.
